Empowering Change
Through Action

Helping nonprofits tell their stories and expand their reach.

About

The Holly and Scott Plank Foundation is dedicated to empowering nonprofits to share their stories, strengthen their reach, and expand their impact.

We believe that when organizations are equipped with the right tools, strategies, and support, they can change lives and transform communities.

Our Impact

  • Building STEPS

We are proud to support Building STEPS! A nonprofit in Baltimore that increases the number of students who earn a college degree and enter STEM and healthcare careers.

Building STEPS equips Baltimore’s brightest students with the tools to propel them to college and career success.

  • Horizon Day Camp

Horizon Day Camp Baltimore brings back the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings through summer camps, year-round programs, and in-hospital activities, all completely free of charge. Horizon creates moments of fun, friendship, and hope for families facing childhood cancer.

  • Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine

The Physicians Committee is dedicated to saving and improving human and animal lives through plant-based diets and ethical and effective scientific research. Holly Plank served on the communications team in 2024, and The Plank Foundation proudly supports this organization.

Horizon Day Camp

Scott and Holly Plank were honored to host Horizon Day Camp’s annual Summer Dreams 2025 event, raising awareness and support for the camp’s mission of caring for children with cancer and their siblings, completely free of charge to families.

Drawing on her musical and teaching background, Holly was grateful to volunteer at the camp, leading music and art programming for the children.

Enjoy this video, beautifully filmed and edited by the talented Peter Watts, that captures the magic of this incredible nonprofit serving families across Maryland as they navigate the challenges of childhood cancer.
